Rearview #1

I'm hoping to start this as a weekly series where I share interesting things I've discovered. It's heavily inspired by Torsten Ball's excellent newsletter, Joy & Curiosity.

What I watched

I caught this episode of The Standup featuring DHH discussing Omarchy. I've been using it on and off on my old desktop for the past few months and really enjoying it. I'm not quite ready to ditch the Mac ecosystem, but once I'm forced to upgrade to macOS Tahoe, that might change.

I also started season two of Andor. As a huge Star Wars fan, I thought the first season was excellent—especially compared to many of the other spin-off series. For some reason, I hadn't started season two until now, but we'll see how quickly I tear through it.

What I read

I've been involved in many discussions at work about our processes and team setup. Without giving specifics, we're going through some internal changes driven by higher-level prioritization, so our two dev teams will have to adapt. I've been feeling some frustration about the friction in the change process, and Jason's article helped me put my finger on exactly what was bothering me.
